Join the Hertfordshire Big Band for an exploration of one of the most influential music genres of the past century at this outdoor event in St Albans for the Roman Theatre Open Air Festival 2025.
Listeners will be guided on a journey from the inception of big band music in the 20th Century and its burst into mainstream consciousness during the 30s and 40s, through its experimental rock-fusion revival during the 60s and 70s, all the way to its widening popularity in the present day among contemporary jazz musicians and composers across the world.
