A COMMUNITY BAND SINCE 2003
Hertfordshire Big Band was formed in 2003, originally stemming from Hertfordshire Concert Band. Having now been established for over 20 years, the band is now recognised as a successful community band whose key principles are to have fun, challenge themselves and improve.
​
The band has won gold and platinum awards at the National Concert Band Festival in addition to holding workshops and concerts with renowned professionals including Mike Lovatt and Pete Long.
​
The band plays regularly across the county at a number of jazz clubs, venues and events. Highlights have included performances at Watford Jazz Junction Festival in addition a number of European tours to Catalonia and Costa Blanca, Spain.
