Southern Maltings welcomes the Hertfordshire Big Band to Ware — an award-winning ensemble that’s been lighting up the UK jazz scene since 2003. With a rich history spanning over two decades, this dynamic community jazz orchestra brings a bold and brilliant sound that celebrates the very best of big band music.
Known for their passion, precision, and ever-evolving repertoire, the band performs a vibrant mix of styles from the roaring 1920s to the grooves of today. Their library boasts over 500 charts, covering swing, Latin, and funk, with music from legends like Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Patrick Williams, and the WDR Big Band.
